Guinigi Tower
Having visited Lucca previously the revisit in June 2017 concentrated on Guinigi Tower which intrigued me on my first view. A tower with a garden on the top!
Lucca is just over 20 minutes on the train from Pisa where my partner and I were based so we were able to get to Lucca nice and early. We were at there just after it opened at 9.00 so there was no queue!
The garden was pretty compact but the 365 degrees views from the top was worth the climb.
Whilst in Lucca the old favourites were visited with renewed interest
Lucca Cathedral
Basilica of San Frediano
Piazza dell’ Anfiteatro
Got the fridge magnet 😁
