Vienna 9 years apart

I do not normally visit the same place twice. However Vienna is one of the few cities where I happily revisit just to see those beautiful palaces!
My first visit there was a week at the end of August 2006 with my partner. We had such a great time that we did not hesitate to go there again with my sister and brother-in-law in October 2015.

It was a short visit this time so we concentrated on Schönbrunn Palace and Belvedere Palace. The grandeur of the palaces and the beautiful gardens never ceased to charm me. Here are my favourite photos of these beautiful places nine years apart. Let’s start with 2015

From the back the palace across the colourful garden the view was dominated by columns and arches on the top of the hill.

It was the Gloriette, a charming restaurant to have a coffee and piece of cake with someone playing the piano in the background

Back in 2006 when I saw it for the first time I thought it was a monument. My fondest memory was of a lady playing the harp while we had cappuccino and cakes
